What Are Your Possibilities?

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

We've all been guilty of it - the New Years resolution never seems to stick! So how do you actually make those personal and professional changes - AND have them stick?

Do you ever feel stuck in making a decision, or solving a problem and wonder why it is so HARD.

Are You Ever Stuck Making a Decision?

Our minds agonize and go around and around with paths, with choices, with doubts- we feel trapped because it is really hard to find the path forward.

I know that often when I have a big decision or problem to solve, I sometimes wish that someone would just make it for me, or I just choose to ignore it, hoping it will go away! This fear of making a move when I don’t know or can’t contribute to the outcome has kept me stuck, and feeling trapped.

How Can We Grow & Develop?

How can we grow and develop, so that we can see new possibilities from our perspective and from a wider viewpoint?

  • Give yourself time to really think about what this is all about. What are you longing for, and what is lacking? Your mind will be very active, but it is also so important to listen to your heart and intuition- where is the longing, what is missing?

  • What resources could you use to pay attention to this? Is it a quiet space to be in, or journaling your thoughts and emotions, or being in nature? For me, I know that being in nature and going for a slow walk supports me in deep ways.

  • Spend some time imagining a future vision of what could be possible. Pay attention to what is emerging and what feels right.

  • Don’t worry about it not being the perfect path- by keeping an open and curious mind and heart, the small steps will begin to emerge.

By Being Aware We Can Move to Empowered & Energized

By being aware of your longings, and what is lacking, and taking the small incremental steps to grow and develop in ways to support yourself in decision making, you are supporting yourself in moving from that stuck feeling to feeling empowered and energized.
